Watch out for that first step, Part 2

It finally happened.
No, I didn't fall in love. Again.
But I did fall. Hard. On a nice patch of black ice.  On the incline at the end of the driveway.  Where my foot went through slush the last time.

Oh, I'm ok for now, but we'll see what tomorrow brings. Possible stiff back and achy shoulder and a nice black and blue bum.

Again, just so we're all clear...I officially hate winter.

P.S. More snow is in the future. Next Tuesday, I believe. Grrr.

Just think of the amazing cardio and the benefit to your shoulders and back, it's the perfect get ready for summer work out, shoveling snow. So stop whining please. I already had to pack away the flannel pj's because it's too warm

Oh, it ain't the soreness from the shoveling and hard work I'm whining about...it's the "I've fallen and I can't get up," landing on my back, hard, on the cold, wet, icy pavement-type of pain, that's killing me at the moment. My tush is bruised good. Not to mention I think I hyperextended my right shoulder when I fell...

Almost ate pavement more than once over these past few days. Surprised to be able to say "almost" since I generally eat pavement several times a month, even without ice/snow as a catalyst...

Sorry I was being unsympathetic, bruised behinds and sore backs are not a good thing, so rest up and do whatever the doc would order, I think you know what that is.

Ohh, Eating pavement is a big no-no, Jill. Glad you're just almost and not all the way eating it. It ain't exactly an acquired taste :/

S&P, nah I get ya, dawg!
Thankfully, I'm not sore, so I don't think I injured myself...just my pride. I think I was caught on surveillance tape by my bro-in-law's cameras...oops.

We do our Senior Planning Day on Feb 26. I decided long ago that I am going to go into family medicine, so I've picked my electives. We do 8 months...four required (classified as ambulatory, pediatric, surgery, and one of house medicine) and four electives. I'm doing 3-4 family medicine months (one will count as my ambulatory month), and I'm doing a geriatrics clinic month (geriatric clinic, hospice, nursing home). I may do a medical ethics month as well. We have lots of options for electives, so I'm not going to do any away rotations.

H.E., I'm glad you already know what you want. I'm still torn between Family Med or IM (GI) so I'll see what's available around. I'd also like to do some away rotations, if I can. Much luck with the rest of the semester.
